About Shala


Welcome to Akshara Marathi Shala, and excited to have you here. At our school, we strive to make you Marathi literate.

We firmly believe in “game-based learning”, and our specifically designed curriculum makes learning fun.

We will learn Marathi through interactive games, activities, and problem-solving.

Students will partake in many arts and crafts activities for Ganpati, Diwali, and more.

The classes will be conducted online by Ms. Priyanka Katti-Kulkarni, an experienced and well-known Marathi teacher in the Bay Area, CA.

Program Outline

We are offering a 33-week program, with three levels, Prathama, Dwitiya, and Trutiya starting from August 25, 2024. Shala calendar will be provided after registration.

Program Includes:

  • Weekly 1.5 hours Online Zoom classes for Prathama and Dwitiya
  • Weekly 1 hour Online Zoom Class for Trutiya
  • In-person exams
  • In-person Diwali and other festival celebrations
  • Shala event on final day

Levels

Prathama

  • गाणी, गोष्टी, श्लोक, प्रार्थना
  • अंक, मुळाक्षरे
  • चौदाखडीसोबत मैत्री
  • शब्दवाचन व लेखन सुरुवात
  • फळे, फुले आणि बऱ्याच गमती जमती

    • Timings:

  • Monday: 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM PST
  • (for age group 5 to 8)

  • Wednesday: 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM PST
  • (for age group 9 and above)

  • Sunday: 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM PST

Dwitiya

  • गाणी, गोष्टी, श्लोक, प्रार्थना
  • चौदाखडी सोबत अजून गट्टी वाढवणे
  • वाक्यलेखन
  • उतारे वाचन
  • व्याकरणाची ओळख
  • गमतीशीर आणि अभ्यास करून घेणार छोटे वर्ग प्रकल्प

    • Timings:

  • Tuesday: 3:30 PM to 5 PM PST
  • Sunday: 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM PST

Trutiya

  • बालगीते, गोष्टी, श्लोक, प्रार्थना
  • व्याकरण
  • जोडाक्षरे
  • कथावाचन
  • वेगवेगळ्या विषयांवर सोपी वाक्ये लिहिणे
  • भाषा आपलीशी करणारे वर्ग प्रकल्प

  • Friday: 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM
